I chose the pharmD path because of the many career opportunities it offers, as well as my strong interest in learning about medications and how they work.

I chose the U of A because I also attended here for my undergraduate degree and really enjoyed the community and environment.

It was the natural progression for me, after pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Science, to pursue my PharmD degree. I enjoyed the topics of pharmacy I covered in undergrad and wanted to further expand my pharmacy knowledge and provide help to others as well.

A neighbor of mine is a pharmacist and introduced me to the world of pharmacy beyond the community setting that everyone assumes is the limit. From that point I knew that I wanted to pursue a PharmD and aim towards working within a specialized field such as pediatrics or compounding.

I chose to get my PharmD because I've always loved science; pharmacy lets me solve real problems, help real people, and never have a boring day. Whether it's explaining meds, catching a dangerous interaction, or just being someone patients trust.

I chose to pursue a PharmD because I wanted the clinical knowledge to change patients' lives by becoming a drug expert. I love learning pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, and therapeutics, so being able to treat patients with this information is so meaningful.

I chose pharmacy because my grandfather worked in a pharmacy-related company in Japan. So as I grew up, his connection to the field inspired me and made me pursue a career in pharmacy.

I wanted to be a pharmacist since I was ten years old due to my grandma passing away from Alzheimer's. I wanted to see why her medication didn't make her feel better, so I wanted to take part in potentially understanding how medications affected the body, and so on! I love connecting with people and helping them with a specialty in medications.

I have always had a passion for healthcare, and I knew where I wanted to be growing up. I started working in a retail pharmacy to ensure I enjoyed it fully before starting pharmacy school. I ended up loving it and saw a career where I could make a difference with my patients.
