Why did you choose to get your PharmD Degree?

I chose pharmacy because my grandfather worked in a pharmacy-related company in Japan. So as I grew up, his connection to the field inspired me and made me pursue a career in pharmacy. 

Why did you choose the University of Arizona R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy?

I loved the support I got through the EA program, especially through my mentor. So I wanted to share those experiences with the next pharmacy students and support their journeys.

What about being a PharmD Ambassador excites YOU the most?

To share my amazing experiences with the mentor and professors with the incoming students. I'm also excited to connect with other students and build a supportive community.

What inspires you most about the many possibilities a career in pharmacy can offer?

What inspires me most about pharmacy is that you get many options in the future. It offers countless opportunities to explore different fields and to make a meaningful difference.

What are your career interests?

I'm interested in pursuing a hospital pharmacist but not sure what field. But I am looking to apply for the residency. 

What piece of advice you would give to a prospective PharmD student?

Stay open-minded and get involved in organizations. Don't be scared to talk to other cohorts and ask any questions. Also, manage your time wisely and do not study at the last minute, but take care of yourself.
