Why did you choose to get your PharmD Degree?
I wanted to give back to the community and educate those on the world of medicine. With my grandma passing away from Alzheimer's disease, I wanted to find a way to contribute to the world of medicine. Pharmacists play an essential role to the health community, so I want people to be educated with their medications that they are taking.
Why did you choose the University of Arizona R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy?
This program exemplifies an inclusive atmosphere that wants students to excel. I would like to live in Arizona, so this was a great way to have some connections in the world of pharmacy.
What are you most excited about in the versatile WORLD of Pharmacy?
I am excited to explore areas of pharmacy that I have not been exposed to before coming into this profession!
What are your career interests?
I am mostly interested in being a part of inpatient settings, while hopefully working in geriatrics or psychiatric. I am also interested in academia and management.
What advice would you give to a prospective PharmD student?
I would advise trying to be comfortable with being uncomfortable. This is how you grow as a person and can test yourself. Be open to anything and everything because you never know what connections you can make. Pharmacy is a small world!
