Why did you choose to get your PharmD Degree?
I chose to pursue my PharmD because I like how pharmacy offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care through clinical decision making and medication expertise. I wanted to combine my passion for science and my desire to help others!
Why did you choose the University of Arizona R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy?
As an Arizona native, I wanted to attend a pharmacy school that would allow me to stay close to home while receiving a strong education and building connections within my community.
What about being a PharmD Ambassador excites YOU the most?
I am excited to represent my school, share my pharmacy school experience, and also inspire prospective students.
What inspires you most about the many possibilities a career in pharmacy can offer?
I am most inspired by pharmacy's versatility and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact through research, patient care, leadership, and specialized fields while growing as a healthcare professional.
What are your career interests?
I am interested in hospital pharmacy, particularly transplant, oncology, and critical care. I hope to pursue residency training and develop expertise in providing specialized patient care.
What piece of advice you would give to a prospective PharmD student?
Don't be afraid to step outside your comfort zone, build relationships, and ask questions. Every experience helps you grow! Be sure to stay organized, believe in yourself, and always remember why you started!
On and off-campus involvement
I am involved in pharmacy organizations including APhA and IPSF, where I have pursued leadership opportunities and worked to strengthen my involvement within the pharmacy community. Outside of school, I work as a pharmacist intern at CVS and at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital, gaining valuable experience in both community and healthcare settings. These experiences have strengthened my communication, teamwork, leadership, and clinical skills while helping me grow as a student and future pharmacist!
