Why did you choose to get your PharmD Degree?

I pursued a PharmD to merge my passion for understanding how medications affect the body with my desire to help others. I've always been fascinated by human biology and how that knowledge translates into effective treatments. Pharmacy allows me to apply this interest while making a real impact by promoting health, supporting patients, and building meaningful relationships along the way.

 

Why did you choose the University of Arizona R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy?

I chose the U of A College of Pharmacy for its strong support system, abundant opportunities, and the clear passion and pride shown by its dedicated faculty and students.

 

What about being a PharmD Ambassador excites YOU the most?

I love connecting with prospective students, sharing my passion for pharmacy, encouraging others to pursue the profession, and building meaningful connections with new people.

 

What inspires you most about the many possibilities a career in pharmacy can offer?

What inspires me most is pharmacy's versatility. There are so many opportunities to explore different fields, grow within a specialty, and shape a career beyond traditional retail or clinical roles.

 

What are your career interests?

I plan to pursue a residency in either cardiology or solid-organ transplant, practice in a clinic at an academic medical center, and eventually teach as an adjunct professor.

 

What piece of advice you would give to a prospective PharmD student?

My advice to prospective PharmD students is to keep an open mind and say yes to new opportunities. You never know what you'll enjoy or where an experience might lead you.
