Why did you choose to major in Pharmaceutical Sciences and/or Medical Pharmacology & Toxicology?
I chose to major in pharmaceutical sciences because I am fascinated by the connection between drug chemistry and how medicines interact within the human body. I am eager to learn more about the processes behind drug manufacturing and distribution as they relate to the scientific field. I love that this major gives me the opportunity to learn about healthcare from a scientific background but also bridging that with patient care. This major allows me to connect my interests in the fields of science and medicine and my passion of serving others in healthcare one day!
What are your career interests?
I am interested in pursuing my PharmD after undergrad to then work as a clinical pharmacist.
What piece of advice would you give to an incoming PharmSci or PharmTox student?
Go outside of your comfort zone to meet new people and try new activities. These memories will last you a lifetime! Keep investing time into your hobbies and passions outside of the classroom because those will help you manage stress.
