Why did you choose to get your PharmD Degree?

I chose to pursue a PharmD degree because I enjoy learning the content that is being taught for this curriculum and believe that this career is one that I can do the most good for my community since pharmacists are the most easily accessible healthcare professionals.

Why did you choose the University of Arizona R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy?

I chose this school because I believe that it offers strong academic and personal support from not only the staff but also the other classmates that I'll be working with.

What about being a PharmD Ambassador excites YOU the most?

What excites me the most about being a PharmD ambassador is that I'm able to offer my personal experiences to aspiring students to help them learn more about the program.

What inspires you most about the many possibilities a career in pharmacy can offer?

What inspires me the most is that all the career fields have many ways I can make a direct, meaningful impact on patient care to improve their health outcomes.

What are your career interests?

My personal interest is to pursue a pharmacy career in the pediatric field as a clinical pharmacist.

What piece of advice you would give to a prospective PharmD student?

My personal advice is to try to get involved in the student organizations to help build connections early on in school.

On and off-campus involvement

On campus, I am currently the treasurer of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy. I am currently also a member of the Arizona Pharmacy Association as well as a member of the National Hispanic Pharmacists Association. Outside of school, I have been a pharmacy intern with Walmart pharmacy for almost five years now and participate in their Wellness Day events where we offer easily accessible healthcare services to our local community.
