Why did you choose to get your PharmD Degree?

I chose to pursue a PharmD because find the science behind pharmacy fascinating, thrive in the pharmacy practice work environment, and am passionate about the role pharmacists play in healthcare.

Why did you choose the University of Arizona R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy?

I was fortunate enough to experience U of A's bachelor of pharmaceutical sciences program and was impressed with the faculty and staff.

What about being a PharmD Ambassador excites YOU the most?

I'm really excited to share the lessons I've learned along the way to help guide future students into having a productive & positive pharmacy school experience. 

What inspires you most about the many possibilities a career in pharmacy can offer?

Pharmacy is an exciting career because their are so many different specialties to choose from but in all of them you are providing an invaluable service to your patients' healthcare. 

What are your career interests?

I am passionate about pursuing a career in ambulatory care pharmacy. 

What piece of advice you would give to a prospective PharmD student?

I would advise a prospective PharmD student not to hesitate to get involved in extracurricular opportunities early, as while four years sounds like a long time it goes by much faster than you think! 

On and off-campus involvement

I am a member of APhA, AzPA, ASCP, and am looking forward to joining more clubs this year! I enjoy participating in health fares and I also work part time to advance my pharmacy experience outside of school! I have the pleasure of serving as the Phoenix Liaison for APhA this year as well as the osteoporosis screening coordinator for the health fares!
