Why did you choose to get your PharmD Degree?
I chose to pursue my PharmD because pharmacy combines my passion for science with my desire to make direct impacts on patient's healthcare. I believe pharmacy gives me the opportunity to become a professional who educates, advocates for, and builds meaningful relationships with patients while helping them achieve better health outcomes.
Why did you choose the University of Arizona R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy?
I chose the University of Arizona because it provides diverse opportunities to grow through experiential learning, leadership, service, and professional involvement while encouraging collaboration and community.
What about being a PharmD Ambassador excites YOU the most?
I am excited to share experiences and opportunities that have been provided to me as a PharmD student with prospective students to help guide their decisions on their educational futures.
What inspires you most about the many possibilities a career in pharmacy can offer?
I am inspired by the multitude of pathways that pharmacy has to offer, the field is continuously evolving and provides opportunity for education, patient interaction, research, and more.
What are your career interests?
My current interests include clinical pharmacy, particularly critical care, but I am excited to explore new opportunities and experiences throughout pharmacy school that will help solidify my career interests.
What piece of advice you would give to a prospective PharmD student?
Start forming lifelong relationships with your classmates! Pharmacy school is challenging but doing it alongside supportive friends can make it so much easier. Step out of your comfort zone to build these relationships, take on a leadership position, connect with your professors, and explore new career opportunities.
On and off-campus involvement
My involvement has been an important part of my growth as a student, a leader, and a future pharmacist. At the R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy, I have been involved in NCPA, NHPA, APID-SPO and Phi Delta Chi, where I have strengthened my leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
