Why did you choose to get your PharmD Degree?

I chose to pursue a PharmD because I have always wanted a career where I can make a meaningful difference in people's lives. Pharmacy gives me the opportunity to build relationships with patients, improve their health, and continue challenging myself through a constantly evolving field.

 

Why did you choose the University of Arizona R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy?

I chose the R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy for its strong reputation, supportive community, and opportunities to grow. I knew it was a place where I could succeed.

 

What about being a PharmD Ambassador excites YOU the most?

I'm most excited to connect with future pharmacy students, share my experiences, and help them feel confident about their journey while representing a College I'm proud to attend.

 

What inspires you most about the many possibilities a career in pharmacy can offer?

What inspires me most is that pharmacy offers so many different paths to make an impact. I can continue learning, explore different opportunities, and ultimately find where I belong.

 

What are your career interests?

I'm interested in patient-centered pharmacy practice, particularly diabetes care and management. I also hope to explore different areas of pharmacy and eventually contribute to improving treatments and patient outcomes.

 

What piece of advice you would give to a prospective PharmD student?

Believe in yourself and don't be afraid to step outside your comfort zone. Pharmacy school will challenge you, but it will also help you grow in ways you never expected. Take advantage of every opportunity, build relationships, and remember to enjoy the journey along the way.

 

On and off-campus involvement

On campus, I am involved with PediaCats, SCCP, and ACVP, and I founded PharmHoops, a student organization focused on bringing pharmacy students together through sports, wellness, and school-life balance. Off campus, I work as a pharmacy intern at Safeway, where I have gained valuable experience in patient care, communication, teamwork, and community pharmacy. These experiences have helped me grow as a leader, student pharmacist, and future healthcare professional.
