Why did you choose to get your PharmD Degree?
I chose to get my PharmD because I feel like it is the perfect mixture of treatment based clinical knowledge and patient centered care. As a PharmD student, I get the opportunity to learn not only about every medication that is out there, but also how to administer that medication and to look at the patient as a whole.
Why did you choose the University of Arizona R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy?
The University of Arizona COP feels like a little family. On my first tour, I could tell that the faculty in the COP truly want their students to succeed. They offer essential support needed to make this rigorous program easier.
What are you most excited about in the versatile WORLD of Pharmacy?
I am very excited to start applying my hard earned knowledge. I am working hard and will continue working harder throughout this program to be able to give my future patients a competent pharmacist. I can't wait to see where my education will take me!
What are your career interests?
After graduation, I am interested in clinical pharmacy. I would also like to provide education and resources to remote areas of the world where healthcare is not prioritized. Potentially, I would love to do vaccine campaigns and help with humanitarian aid in underdeveloped countries.
What advice would you give to a prospective PharmD student?
Do not isolate yourself. Make friends, get to know your professors better and apply for leadership positions in clubs. Your mental health is always your top priority so surround yourself with people that make you happy. The friends you make in pharmacy school could potentially be life long friends.
