Why did you choose to major in Pharmaceutical Sciences and/or Medical Pharmacology & Toxicology?

I chose to major in Pharmaceutical Sciences due to my interest in medicine reactions and their effects on the human body. I relied on many medications from a young age, specifically those for acne, which built my genuine curiosity about medicine's impact. What drew me to this path was the specific pharmacy courses that set you up well for Pharmacy School. It allows me to build a strong foundation in any healthcare path I will explore.

What are your career interests?

After earning my PharmD, I hope to specialize in pediatric pharmacy, clinical pharmacy, or compounding pharmacy. I look forward to discovering where my journey takes me.

What piece of advice would you give to an incoming PharmSci or PharmTox student?

Be yourself and use every resource available to you. Don't be afraid to ask for help! Manage your time, but don't be too hard on yourself. Surround yourself with good people, and don't rush finding your community. Most importantly, put yourself out there and make connections!
