Why did you choose to major in Pharmaceutical Sciences and/or Medical Pharmacology & Toxicology?

I chose this major because I was looking for a program that could prepare me for various scientific paths after undergraduate, whether that's medical school, pharmacy school, research, or even fields like law or business. I also wanted a major that would allow me to explore all the areas of science that interest me, such as chemistry, physiology, and microbiology. Additionally, I was drawn to PharmSci because it offers knowledge I can apply both in my future career and in everyday life. Simply put, I wanted an inclusive scientific major with broad opportunities for whatever direction I take next.

What are your career interests?

I am currently interested in pursuing a form of medical law. However, I have interests in medicine and research as well.

What piece of advice would you give to an incoming PharmSci or PharmTox student?

It is important that incoming students put themselves out there and make connections. Learn who the advisors are, who the professors are, who the faculty in charge of research are. In this program they want to help you and forming connections will further your growth in various areas.
