Why did you choose to major in Pharmaceutical Sciences and/or Medical Pharmacology & Toxicology?

I chose to major in Medical Pharmacology & Toxicology because I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted to pursue when I came to college. The College of Pharmacy gives you the opportunity to explore several different sciences, which helped me to determine what my educational and potential career interests were. Also, you don't have to become a pharmacist if you want to be in one of these majors! There are so many more options for you as a member of this college.

What are your career interests?

I would like to become a forensic scientist, specializing in toxicology and/or seized drugs.

What piece of advice would you give to an incoming PharmSci or PharmTox student?

Take advantage of everything that the College of Pharmacy offers! This college is made up of amazing students, staff, and professors, and learning from them is invaluable. There are also so many great resources and opportunities that will help you make both personal and professional connections.
