R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy Celebrates Class of 2022

On May 13th, the R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy celebrated its 72nd Convocation with an unforgettable in person and livestreamed event at beautiful Centennial Hall. Our graduating PharmCATs crossed the stage as doctors, scholars or successful graduates of the Coit College of Pharmacy. We also celebreated the first full class of Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences (BSPS) ! This class of BSPS students is the first class to be a part of the BSPS class for all four years.

"The perseverance and decision to push through and make it to this day, from these students, is truly deserving of a celebration," shared LuzMaría Hernández, convocation event coordinator and Recruitment/Events Specialist for the Office of Student Services. "I am honored to be able to collaborate to help commemorate their accomplishments with CONVO 2022!"  

During the ceremony, students heard remarks from Dean Rick Schnellmann, PhD, dean of the college, Jeannie Lee, PharmD, assistant dean of student services and our emcee, as well as representatives from the various college programs. The yearly program award announcements were also made during the ceremony, recognizing the distinguished graduates as well as the educators of the year and the yearly preceptor awards.

"Graduates, I hope you relish the excitement you feel today and that you sense the pride that all of us have in your accomplishments," Dr. Schnellmann said. "We eagerly anticipate the contributions that you will make to health care, science, and drug discovery, in the years ahead."
