Why did you choose to get your PharmD Degree?

My family has a lot of chronic health conditions, and I enjoy being a trusted person they can come to when they have questions about their health.

Why did you choose the University of Arizona R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy?

I chose U of A because it is the best pharmacy program in Arizona! There are numerous opportunities for students to grow both professionally and academically.

What are you most excited about in the versatile WORLD of Pharmacy?

I am passionate about educating patients about how to manage their chronic and acute health conditions. I know I'm doing when job right when a patient says, "Wow, I didn't know that. Thank you." Hearing things like that is what motivates me to talk to people in the community.

What are your career interests?

I am open to any field of pharmacy, but my main interests at the moment are:
- Indian Health Service (IHS)
- Substance Use Disorder
- Community Pharmacy
- Compounding Pharmacy

What advice would you give to a prospective PharmD student?

I would tell every pharmacy student to get involved! Your first year is when you should join multiple clubs, go for leadership positions, and talk to professors. Getting in the habit of participating is a valuable lesson to carry with you throughout your pharmacy career.
