Shaun Phillips

Shaun Phillips is the CEO at the Tucson Medical Center Rincon Campus and system vice president for performance management for TMC Health. Prior to joining TMC, Shaun served for almost 5 years with Lifepoint Health in Arizona as CEO at Canyon Vista Medical Center and COO at Havasu Regional Medical Center. He also spent 10 years in executive and pharmacy leadership for Bronson Healthcare Group, a not-for-profit, integrated health system operating in southwest Michigan and northern Indiana. Additionally, he had nearly 10 years of experience in various pharmacy leadership roles at Trinity Health, a multi-state, Catholic healthcare organization.
Shaun holds a Doctor of Pharmacy and completed Honors undergraduate work with highest distinction from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan. He completed an internship and a PGY1 residency with a focus in cardiac pharmacology at Mercy Health Partners in Muskegon, Michigan.
He also received intensive research training in pharmaceutics and pharmacology with The Upjohn/Pharmacia Company, Perrigo Manufacturing, and Michigan State University. He holds an MBA in integrated management from Michigan State University, completed a certificate in leadership and security at the U.S. Army War College, and is working on a PhD in Organizational Development and Learning with the University of Arizona.
In addition to his executive responsibilities, he serves as professor for administrative pharmacy at Ferris State University, course coordinator in Financial Planning for Health Institution Leaders program at the University of Wyoming, and holds various advisory functions at academic institutions. He is active with military affairs organizations, The Knights of Columbus, and a variety of health-related charities and outreach programs. He lives in Sierra Vista with his wife, Yanny, a practicing neurologist. They have three daughters. The family are all avid hikers and stay active in various school/community sports.
