Why did you choose to get your PharmD Degree?
I always knew I wanted to work in medicine, and I learned from a young age how vital each provider was in the care of a patient. I saw how people trusted their pharmacists, and was inspired by the impact they had on various aspects of patients lives. Learning about health and medicine excites me, but it is the interactions with patients and families that have fueled my passion for the career.
Why did you choose the University of Arizona R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy?
My hometown college! I love the people and the community the college provides.
What are you most excited about in the versatile WORLD of Pharmacy?
I am excited about the continued expansion of career opportunities as a pharmacist!
What are your career interests?
I am interested in pursuing a career in ambulatory care pharmacy, and would love to pursue a teaching position at a university in the future.
What advice would you give to a prospective PharmD student?
Make sure to take time for yourself and your personal interests outside of school. One of the best things I have done during school is block off one day a week that is entirely dedicated to myself.
