Why did you choose to get your PharmD Degree?
I chose to get my PharmD Degree because of my strong desire to help patients and be a resource in my community. I find great importance in communicating with patients to help improve their health outcomes and aid patients in understanding their health and medications. I also understand that while I am still new to the area of pharmacy, there are a multitude of opportunities offered within, ensuring that I will find an area that is constantly enjoyable and rewarding throughout the course of my career.
Why did you choose the University of Arizona R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy?
I chose the University of Arizona R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy because of our diversity of the student population, outstanding academic success, and rewarding hands-on curriculum.
What are you most excited about in the versatile WORLD of Pharmacy?
I am excited about learning about all of the opportunities that are available to me and learning about how patient-centered care looks in all areas of pharmacy.
What are your career interests?
I am currently the most interested in community pharmacy, I appreciate that it provides patient interaction and many opportunities to help and connect with patients on a daily basis.
What advice would you give to a prospective PharmD student?
The most important piece of advice I could give to a prospective PharmD student would be to connect with as many professors, peers, and preceptors as you can. While our didactic coursework is imperative to success, connections and relationships will open doors to many opportunities and lifelong connections with professionals.
