Why did you choose to major in Pharmaceutical Sciences and/or Medical Pharmacology & Toxicology?

The Pharmaceutical Sciences major is very multifaceted and encompasses many health science-related themes. As a freshman who knew she wanted to pursue a health career but unsure what specific path, pharmaceutical sciences both enriched me with relevant health education while ultimately guiding me to my right career path.

What are your career interests?

I aim to pursue a PharmD for a career in clinical pharmacy. I will likely do residency in internal medicine and hopefully work in a bilingual hospital environment.

What piece of advice would you give to an incoming PharmSci or PharmTox student?

Connect with your peers within the major, especially those later in the program when you're a freshman. Always be open to any advice (for example, when to take certain classes), but keep in mind everyone's path is different so avoid comparison.
