Christopher Finch

Christopher K. Finch, PharmD, FCCM, FCCP, is dean of the R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy. He received a Bachelors degree in Chemistry from Lambuth University in Jackson, Tennessee and the Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy, Memphis. He completed a specialized residency in internal medicine at the University of Tennessee. Finch taught for two years at Auburn University, School of Pharmacy and the University of Alabama, School of Medicine before moving back to his hometown of Memphis in the summer of 2003. While in Memphis, Finch served in several roles during his 16 years at Methodist Healthcare, University Hospital, including the director of pharmacy for the last 5 years before leaving for UTHSC. As chair, he coordinated and taught in the new Health-system Pharmacy Outcomes and Management course and several other courses at UTHSC. Finch has published over 80 manuscripts in several well-recognized pharmacy and medical journals and has been an invited speaker at several national medical and pharmacy conferences. He is a Fellow in both the American College of Critical Care Medicine and the American College of Clinical Pharmacy. In 2024, the UTHSC Chancellor selected Finch to serve as one of three health science center leaders in the University of Tennessee Executive Leadership Institute.
