Why did you choose to major in Pharmaceutical Sciences and/or Medical Pharmacology & Toxicology?

A few years ago, I toured the University of Arizona's College of Pharmacy, and at that time, I was still unsure about what I wanted to study. Seeing the ambassadors' passion and excitement for what they were majoring in inspired me to pursue Pharmaceutical Science. I have an interest in both Biology and Chemistry, and I love that Pharmaceutical Science is the intersection of both of those fields. It is a great option for students pursuing a career in pharmacy, drug sales and marketing, regulatory affairs, medical research, and forensic science.

What are your career interests?

I plan on obtaining my PharmD here at the University of Arizona and pursuing a career as a hospital pharmacist.

What piece of advice would you give to an incoming PharmSci or PharmTox student?

My advice to incoming freshmen would be to utilize as many resources as you can. Lots of courses offer SI sessions and tutoring, which will give you additional studying time and allow you to ask questions to students who have taken the course before.
