Alan Barreuther

Alan Barreuther graduated from the University of Arizona, College of Pharmacy in 1973 (B.SC.), the University of Michigan in 1975 (Pharm.D.), and the University of Michigan Medical Center Pharmacy Resident program from 1973- 1975. He returned to Tucson and taught at the University of Arizona College of Pharmacy from 1975-1991. He then joined Health Partners HMO, Southwestern Physicians Network from 1991- 2000. His industry experience is in Medical Affairs for four different pharmaceutical companies from 2000-2015. He became a volunteer for Casa de la Luz Hospice and a Board Member of Casa de la Luz Foundation, now known as Roots and Roads Community Hospice Foundation. He has fulfilled his retirement desire to educate both professional and lay individuals about topics in death and dying. He and his wife Christy have traveled to various places around the globe via organized tours and cruises. They have four grandchildren and spend time with them in Tucson and the Bay Area.
