Countdown to Convocation 2023: Student Professional Organization Awards

American Pharmacists Association - Academy of Student Pharmacists (APHA-ASP) - Amanda Leluan

Amanda was President of the organization during the ‘22-’23 school year and operated responsibly all while being kind and dedicated towards our organization and our school. During a time of uncertainty with COVID transitions, Amanda maintained the integrity of the organization by always striving to achieve new goals.

American Society for Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP) - Ketty Lee

Ketty has been an active member of ASCP for the past 4 years and has gone above and beyond as president, organizing lunch meetings, fundraisers, and interprofessional clinics at Saint Luke’s Home. She did an amazing job at staying involved and being active during the pandemic. The UA chapter is extremely grateful for her passion for older adults and can’t wait to see what the future holds.

Industry Pharmacists Organization (IPHO) - Krupa Bhakta

​​​Krupa's outstanding leadership helped to lay the groundwork for our young organization. Her contributions helped to establish our club and expose our members to opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry."  

National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) - Heather Tran 

Heather put her efforts in creating events that required participation when we the organization was coming back from the pandemic. Her leadership skills during this time while balancing school did not go unnoticed.

PediaCats - Cammy Yu

An accomplished President of the organization who contributed in many ways to make the group known. She represented the college by presenting a poster at the Pediatric Pharmacy Association Conference and organized the Elementary School event. Her hard work and dedication are well appreciated, and she has built back the foundation that has led to PediaCATS’ success since coming back from the start of the pandemic.

Student Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists/ American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists (SSHP- ASHP) - Nora Sammani

The Student Society of Health System Pharmacy (SSHP) recognizes Nora Sammani as an outstanding former President. Her dedication has been reflected through the "Outstanding Professional Development Award," granted by ASHP to recognize the chapter's advancement throughout Nora's presidency. We are thankful for Nora's hard-work, leadership, and kindness. SSHP wishes Nora the best of luck in the next phase of her career as a PGY1 Resident at the Southern Arizona VA!

Student College of Clinical Pharmacy (SCCP) - Stormmy Boettcher

Stormmy Boettcher has inspired members to develop leadership and clinical skills with SCCP. She encouraged members to participate in clinical challenges that provided opportunities to attend the 2022 ACCP Global Conference. She served as Chair of the National Student Network Advisory Committee (SNAC) where she led a team of students nationwide to develop programs for student pharmacists across ACCP. Her legacy will continue beyond her tenure as a PharmD student."
