PharmD Students Present Quality Improvement Research

May 3, 2019

PharmD second-year students (P2s) were charged with successfully developing and implementing a quality improvement model aimed at improving quality in the medical setting. Students assembled into 39 teams – 12 in Phoenix and 27 in Tucson – and completed the assignment which cumulated in a poster session at both sites. The posters were judged selected by a faculty panel including Dr. Warholak, Dr. Gallo and Dr. Middleton. Additional poster feedback was provided by current P4 students, pharmacy residents, project preceptors and College of Pharmacy faculty in attendance.

Posters were scored based on a 20 item metric which looked at everything from study design, statistical analysis, poster style, student presentation skills and creativity.
