On behalf of all our faculty, staff and students, welcome to the R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy!

As dean of the college, I am incredibly proud of our longstanding legacy of educating the next generation of pharmacists and advancing groundbreaking research. Since 1947, the University of Arizona R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy has been at the forefront of pharmacy education, research, and innovation.

Over the decades, we have grown from a small community of students with a forward-looking vision into one of the nation’s premier pharmacy programs. Today, our college continues to build on that legacy through excellence in education, transformative research, and meaningful contributions to the health and well-being of our communities.

Ranking fourth among the nation’s leading pharmacy programs in NIH funding by the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy & the Blue Ridge Institute for Medical Research, our national reputation reflects the dedication and accomplishments of our faculty, students, alumni, and staff. 

Our research spans a broad range of disciplines and has contributed to the discovery of new therapies, the advancement of standards of care, and improved health outcomes. Areas of research excellence include drug discovery, aging and neurodegeneration therapeutics, health and pharmaceutical outcomes, pharmacology, toxicology, and environmental health.

Our college offers students a wealth of opportunities to discover their passions, develop their skills, and prepare for meaningful careers in pharmacy and the broader health sciences. From our Bachelor of Science and PharmD programs to our master’s and PhD degrees, we are committed to providing an educational experience that supports each student’s individual goals and aspirations.

Student success is at the heart of everything we do. Our students learn alongside exceptional pharmacy leaders, scientists, innovators, and healthcare experts who are dedicated not only to advancing their fields, but also to mentoring and supporting the next generation of professionals. With 75 faculty members, including 13 endowed chairs and professorships, and more than 1,350 preceptors, our students have access to an extraordinary network of expertise, mentorship, and experiential learning opportunities. 

Whether students are preparing to become pharmacists, pursuing careers in research and drug development, or exploring new ways to improve health and healthcare, our goal is to help them succeed at every step of their journey. We provide the knowledge, experiences, mentorship, and support they need to become confident leaders and make a meaningful impact on the world around them.
