Discussion -

RNA Delivery for Treating Brain Disorders

Abstract -

RNA therapeutics hold significant potential for treating various brain disorders. However, Effective and safe delivery of RNA to the brain remains a formidable challenge due to the restrictive nature of the blood–brain barrier (BBB). In this presentation, I will discuss the development of blood–brain barrier-crossing lipid nanoparticles (BLNPs) and blood–brain barrier-crossing conjugates (BCCs). These delivery systems have demonstrated the ability to transport multiple types of RNA across the BBB, facilitating protein expression and gene silencing in the central nervous system (CNS). The platforms hold promising therapeutic potential for treating substance use disorders, neurodegenerative diseases, and brain cancer.

Attendance Options -

If you can't make the seminar in person, you can always join us virtually!
