Topic:
Dive into lung cancer pathogenesis - new hope for cancer cure
Abstract:
A protein termed PDLIM2 has recently been identified as a tumor suppressor that is repressed in both cancer cells and tumor associated macrophages to drive lung cancer and therapy resistance. New therapies based on PDLIM2 have been developed and showed exceptional efficacy in lung cancer treatment. PD-L1, with the well-known function in adaptive immunity, was found to play a crucial role in innate immunity and lung homeostasis maintenance. These discoveries will be described in this seminar.
