PCOL 196D: The Joy of Drugs: Introduction to Pharmaceutical Sciences
A fast-paced course that will allow students to experience the thrill of pharmaceutical sciences and pharmacology in its broadest sense, in plain language. This entertaining one-hour seminar is focused on two student populations—those who are undecided about their major and those already committed to the BS in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Both groups will enjoy a generous introduction to a broad array of topics aimed to give them real, relevant information for life

Lecture Title: Pharmacokinetics (how drugs get in and out…zoom!)
We will learn how drugs enter and leave the body and what they do within the body. We will also discuss why some drugs work and others don’t, how toxicity occurs and what we can do about it, and the use of precision medicine.
