Name: Angelica Rivera

Why did you choose the BS in Pharmaceutical Sciences? 
I chose to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences because of the endless opportunities and learning. There are many different fields of pharmacy all of which aim to improve healthcare. I want to be a helping hand and provide patients with knowledge and information on medicine.

What is your favorite course? Why? 
Currently, my favorite course is organic chemistry. Learning to write and analyze reaction mechanisms has been very interesting to me. I have had a similar interest in past chemistry courses as well. Organic chemistry is fun yet challenging as I practice my problem-solving and critical-thinking skills every day.

What year do you expect to graduate? 
2028

What are your plans post-graduation? 
After pharmacy school, I want to do a post-graduate residency for about one to two years. By completing this, I can specialize in a certain field of pharmacy and get a job in what I love doing!

What advice would you give to future PharmSci students? 
My advice for future PharmSci students is to utilize school resources. The University of Arizona has tons of resources to help you in school such as Think Tank, SI sessions, office hours, and many more. Getting the extra help can change your learning significantly!
