Discovery of Immunogenomic Associations with Disease and Differential Risk Across Diverse Populations
In this project, we perform systematic investigation of the association of human leukocyte antigen (HLA) alleles with disease, using a two-pronged approach based on the phenome-wide association study (PheWAS) in the All of Us Research Program, a large, diverse DNA biobank coupled to electronic health records.

Management of critically ill patients receiving medications for opioid use disorder
10/30/2023 | Physician's Weekly
A review study by Brian L. Erstad, PharmD, MCCM, FCCP, FASHP, BCPS, professor and head of the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science in the R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy, and Melody J. Glenn, MD, professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine in the College of Medicine – Tucson, found that there are no published clinical practice guidelines or consensus statements to guide decision making in patients admitted to the ICU who were receiving medications for opioid use disorder prior to admission.
