Dr. Naderi presented at the Healthcare-Associated Infections/Antimicrobial Resistance Annual meeting for state health departments at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, GA on November 7. During the presentation, Dr. Naderi highlighted how the Arizona Department of Health Services leverages Antibiotic Stewardship Education, Communication and Partnership.
For U.S. Antibiotic Awareness Week from November 18-24, Dr. Naderi was invited to speak on the American Society of Health-System of Pharmacists Hot Topics in Pharmacy Practice Podcast, whcih will be released on Monday, November 20. The topic is core elements of antibiotic stewardship for health departments. The Podcast episode can be found on the ASHP website.

Brian Erstad
Dr. Erstad was elected to the Board of Directors of the Board of Pharmacy Specialties. He will begin his term on January 1, 2024. The BPS Board of Directors is composed of 12 voting members, including nine pharmacists and three public members, who serve up to two three-year terms. The BPS Executive Director and one member of the APhA Board of Trustees are nonvoting ex officio Board members.
