Q: What is your favorite thing about the PharmSci major?
A: I think it is the only true pre-health major because we cover pharmacology or how drugs work in the body. This underpins all of healthcare and is a huge source of healthcare spending. Also, students seem to enjoy the power that comes with knowing how medications can treat disease and make life more comfortable!

Q: What's one fun fact about yourself?
A: This may be more weird than fun: I have seen Jaws more than 50 times, the first time as a child and most recently last week. It messed me up back then and I begged to quit swimming lessons for this reason. I almost walked on the water to avoid going underwater and…being eaten by the shark that would only eat me, in chlorine, in a pool! A few years ago, I visited the filming site of Jaws at Menemsha, Massachusetts, a fishing village in Chilmark on Martha’s Vineyard. It still looks the same.
