Gamma Upsilon

The Gamma Upsilon chapter of Kappa Psi has been involved in multiple philanthropy projects. Our local philanthropic mission is the Reusable Water Drive for local Tucsonans experiencing homelessness. The Reusable Water Drive is focused on sustainable solutions to water insecurity in the desert and is supported by the local community and Kappa Psi national funding. We also works with other philanthropic charities such as Reach out and Read; we hold a fundraising event and book drive to help bring literacy to underprivileged youth. We have also worked with local Habitat for Humanity chapter and the Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation to engage our members in the health and prosperity of our local community. Gamma Upsilon is constantly striving to enhance brotherhood. The diversity of our events encourages all brothers to come together to participate as one. Some of our brotherhood events include our end-of-the-year banquet, intramural sport teams, dinner get-togethers, and many other activities to keep us involved in brotherhood.

We have won multiple regional and national awards in the past few years. For the 2023-2024 school year, we were awarded the “Best Brotherhood Event” for our region. For the 2024-2025 school year, we were awarded the “Most Traveled Chapter” to the regional assembly in San Diego, CA, we also received the “Community Service Award” and were recipients of the Kappa Psi National Service Grant for our philanthropic efforts. Most recently, we celebrated our 75th anniversary of our chapter in March of 2025 and hosted the Regional Pacific West Province Assembly in Tucson.

The Gamma Upsilon chapter of Kappa Psi strives to combine philanthropy, fellowship, scholarship, and leadership into one great brotherhood.

Zeta Chi

Zeta Chi was founded on May 12th, 2018 at the University of Arizona-Phoenix Campus and is currently dormant. Zeta Chi aims to incorporate the Pillars of Kappa Psi in our daily lives (Industry, Sobriety, Fellowship and High Ideals).

Our members inspire Industry by holding many leadership positions and taking on amazing opportunities like becoming a Commissioned Corps officer in the JrCOSTEP or internships at Mayo Clinic. We practice Sobriety by balancing our fun with hard work. We strengthen our Fellowship with our social events. Since we are such a new Chapter, we are still developing traditions to pass down to future Brothers of our Chapter. We’ve hosted events such as murder mystery dinners, escape rooms, and just enjoying each other’s companies. We strive to uphold High Ideals by engaging in charity events. Our Chapter’s philanthropy charity is Feed My Starving Children, an organization that provides food for children across the world that are in need. Our Chapter participates in their packing sessions numerous times per year. We’ve helped pack thousands of meals, which help feed children for many years to come. Kappa Psi’s official national philanthropy partner is Reach Out and Read, an organization whose aim is to provide books for children to increase literacy. We’ve helped them reach their goals by hosting book drives and fundraisers to help their cause.

Even though our Chapter is new, we’ve won the Best in PacWest Award for donating the most to the Pacific West Province’s Professional Clothing Drive, donating 17x as much as other Chapters in the province.
