Boesen tapped in list of top professionals
The Arizona Daily Star selected Kevin Boesen as one of Tucson’s top “40 Under 40” professionals in early September.
Boesen, clinical assistant professor, director of experiential education and director of the Medication Management Center, will be recognized at a breakfast Oct. 15 at the Doubletree Reid Park Hotel.
Boesen was chosen in part because he serves as a role model to others.
“Within the community of pharmacy educators, Dr. Boesen is already recognized as a creative thinker, magnetic teacher, energetic achiever, and an inspiration to students and coworkers,” says his nomination letter. “He is a leader today; we fully expect his influence to expand and grow in the years ahead.”
Boesen will be featured in the Oct. 18 issue of the Arizona Daily Star.
Kappa Epsilon picks up alumni award
The COP chapter of Kappa Epsilon received the Excellence in Alumni Outreach award at the Kappa Epsilon National Convention in Indianapolis. The chapter received the award because of their “dedication to maintaining strong lines of communication with the KE alumni,” says president-elect Rachael Mead, Class of 2012, who traveled to Indiana in August to accept the award. To stay in touch with alumni, the fraternity set up an e-mail listserve and sent out frequent e-mails with important events and information.
“This award signifies the beginning of many good things to come for the Sigma chapter of Kappa Epsilon, and it should encourage all of our members to continue to strive to put our all into everything we do,” Mead says. “Alumni are an important part of our chapter and we can learn a lot from them, so keeping in touch with them is beneficial to us all.”
