Unit Requirements
Once admitted to the College of Pharmacy, you must have 62 units of college coursework completed by June 1 of the admission year and have a 2.5 minimum prerequisite GPA.
A minimum of 90 units is required by June 1 of the admission year for full Federal Direct Loan/financial aid eligibility. This may include AP, IB and CLEP units. Per federal regulations, students must have completed a Bachelor's Degree or at least 90 college-level units in order to be eligible for professional-level loans. Students are encouraged to submit all transcripts directly to PharmCAS for review during the application process.
Students who have not yet completed at least 90 college-level units will be eligible for Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan funding based on the following:
0-29 units completed - $9,500
30-59 units completed - $10,500
60-89 units completed - $12,500

Financial Aid
The R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy administers over $400,000 in scholarships annually to students in the PharmD program in Scholarship Universe. The PharmD scholarship application opens annually for current PharmD students early in the spring semester and most scholarships close mid-April. Most College of Pharmacy PharmD scholarships require a completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

As an incoming undergraduate freshman or transfer student, if you received the Wildcat Excellence scholarship (or other applicable scholarship) for your undergraduate education AND completed your degree in less than 8 (or 4 for transfer students) semesters, you can use the remaining applicable tuition merit award towards your PharmD tuition the following semester.
Please contact the UA Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid (OFSA) directly to describe your situation and provide documentation from the PharmD program to get the accommodation. If you Email OFSA, mention you are a "Pharmacy Student" in the message.
