It was no surprise that 2022 graduate Chloe Grace Rose, PharmD, was chosen for a fellowship opportunity with Pfizer following graduation. She will spend one year at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) followed by a year at Pfizer. Dr. Grace Rose works in a small, but very robust and fun department at UIC. She has completed half of the coursework for her Master’s degree and is now getting her feet wet with qualitative research as part of her capstone project. She is also gaining experience in new areas, including patient reported outcomes and epidemiology. Later this spring Dr. Grace Rose will transition to Pfizer where she will work with the breast cancer and precision medicine team, sharing, “I can’t wait!”

And for anyone that loves Chicago, Dr. Grace Rose is right there with you! “Chicago has been an absolute treat—beautiful skyline, sandy beaches, and GREAT food. What else could I ask for!”

“We are thrilled to share that she is enjoying her experience,” said Amy Grizzle, PharmD, Associate Director of the Center for Health Outcomes & Pharmacoeconomic Research (HOPE Center). “We were lucky to have Chloe choose our HEOR Rotation in the fall of 2022,” Dr. Grizzle added, “She did a stellar job mastering concepts and completing projects with the HOPE Center.” During the rotation, Dr. Grace Rose contributed to an important project with the UArizona Valley Fever Center for Excellence, which culminated in a paper published in the Southwest Journal of Pulmonary and Critical Care titled “Payer Coverage of Valley Fever Diagnostic Tests.” Her leadership skills also stood out as she helped guide participants in the HOPE Center’s health economic and outcomes research (HEOR) training program.

Chloe will be attending the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) meeting in BOSTON, MAY 7-10. “We can’t wait to see her at our alumni reception,” said Dr. Grizzle.
