Post-Doctoral Fellowships

The College of Pharmacy offers two-year post-doctoral fellowship programs for aspiring scientists in two tracks: Health Outcomes, Effectiveness, and Economics (HO2E) and Clinical Research in Human Therapeutics (CRiHT).

Program Emphasis

Both tracks emphasize technical training in the design, implementation, analysis, dissemination, and synthesis of scientific investigations. In addition to core training activities related to methodology, analytics, and scientific and professional development, both are highly individualized to fellows’ interests.

Each fellow is guided by a mentor team of experts. Fellows are involved in ongoing research activities in addition to developing their own program of research. Research activities include systematic reviews and meta-analyses; retrospective and prospective studies; secondary analyses; and, as applicable, economic analyses.  Dissemination by means of publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at scientific specialty conferences is emphasized. Fellows have the opportunity to participate in peer-review activities under supervision of their mentors.

Health Outcomes, Effectiveness, and Economics (HO2E)

This track aims to prepare scientists with expertise in comprehensive evaluations of the effectiveness of clinical interventions in terms of health, patient-centered, and economic outcomes.

Clinical Research in Human Therapeutics (CRiHT)

The track aims to prepare scientists with expertise in studies on treatments for diseases.
