Russ Funk

Russ Funk was appointed CEO of Banner Pharmacy Services in July 2018 following a broad range of leadership experiences within the healthcare market to include activities throughout the continuum of care focused on innovative strategies and developing new products/solutions that enhance quality of life for both the patients and caregivers. A Healthcare Leader and Strategist who can lead sales, operations and business development activities. Accomplished at increasing revenue growth, operational efficiency and market share. Highly skilled at identifying opportunities, developing and implementing innovative strategies and developing new products. Proven ability in developing strategic relationships within complex organizations. Funk has spent the last eight years working as a Strategic Customer Vice President for Becton Dickinson. Prior to that, he held many healthcare roles in clinical and operational pharmacy leadership, product management, and leading sales and marketing teams. Funk completed his Pharm D from Creighton University and a Master's of Healthcare Services Administration from the University of Kansas. Funk, a native of Kansas, moved to Arizona in 2018. He holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Creighton University and a Masters of Health Services Administration degree from the University of Kansas. He is currently a member of ACHE and Serves on the Excelera Board.
