Jason Karnes received grant R01 HL156993 from NIH/National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute for ABO and Immunogenetic Variation in the Pathogenesis of Heparin-Induced Thrombocytopenia The goals of this work are to determine the role of ABO variation in heparin-induced thrombocytopenia, determine the influence of genomic variation on platelet factor 4/heparin antibody production, and to identify intrinsic immune cell involvement in HIT using a single cell-RNA-TCR-CITE-seq approach

Jeannie K. Lee received a grant from NIH/National Institute of Nursing Research for Digital Technology to Support Adherence to Hypertension Medications for Older Adults with Mild Cognitive Impairment. The goal is to modify our existing MEDSReM application (App) to make it more readily usable and appropriate for individuals with memory difficulties by automating input of medication information and delivering reminders through wearable technology.
