Skaggs Expansion and Renovation
The expansion and renovation of the College of Pharmacy’s Skaggs Pharmaceutical Sciences Center will allow more cutting-edge research, education, innovation and training to happen here.
Under construction since September 2018, critical infrastructure upgrades will allow dedicated research scientists to double our research capacity over the next 10 years in areas including pharmacogenomics, drug discovery, pharmacology and toxicology. It will allow us to accept the highest caliber students and educate them in state-of-the-art, modern laboratories and workspaces. It also ensures that we will continue to have a greater impact on the health of people and populations around the world for generations.

Total Expansion & Renovation: Expanding 32,000 square feet which includes space dedicated to interprofesssional research, drug discovery and education. (12,000 square feet will be renovated and the addition of two extra floors on top of the existing school will add 21,000 square feet)
Cost: $26 million
Construction Timeline: 18 months with a target completion date of early 2020
