Charles Kendrick, College of Pharmacy class of 1955 was featured in the Arizona Daily Star in an article about the Black History Museum that he and his daughter Rhonda Moniz, operate. They are calling it the Tucson Center for Black Life.
Kendrick was in the 5th graduating class at the University. The 1955 University of Arizona Pharmacist Magazine highlighted future plans of the 12 graduating pharmacists including Mr. Kendrick. "Charles Kendrick, 23, has worked for three years at the Grand Avenue Martin Drug Store. Originally from Stamps, Arkansas, he will be getting a commission in the U.S. Army after graduation. He is a member of Phi Delta Chi and A.Ph.A. The reason he is going in the Army is to prove to [Donald] McKenna it is better than the Marines."
