Dr. Wang’s group was awarded an STTR grant with Regulonix, a startup company funded by Dr. Rajesh Khanna. This grant will help develop novel potent and selective T-type calcium channel antagonists as potential candidates for the management of chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy. The Wang lab will be responsible for the design, synthesis, characterization, and PK profiling of T-type calcium channel blockers, and Regulonix will be in charge of the in vitro biological assays and in vivo mouse model studies.
