(May 14, 2019) Being a wildcat for eight years has meant a lot to me and I enjoyed the support I received from all the professors and the wildcat community. In the future, I hope to be able to share the same experiences I received to future wildcats. As a future pharmacist, I would like to become a preceptor to future students on rotations and during health fairs. One of the most memorable moments as a pharmacy student was being patient education co-chair and organizing health fairs. The health fairs require a lot of support from our students, preceptors, and community members in order for it to be successful. As a pharmacist, I hope to bring in more funds for these community outreach event and to invite College of Medicine, College of Nursing, and College of Public Health to mimic real-life practices of the interprofessional team. I also plan to be a mentor to future pharmacy students who share the same goals as me. I hope to become their role model and to guide them so that they can meet their goals.
During my last year as a pharmacy student, I traveled to various pharmacy conferences and met many fellow PharmCats. It always amazed me how many alumni there are and how they are willing to help me even though I just met them once. I hope to follow in their footsteps.
