(Nov. 15, 2018) For more than 26 years, Marty Baker has supported hundreds – if not thousands, of Pharmacy students as they began their path towards earning their PharmD degree. This November, she is retiring.
Marty began as secretary in April 1992 working for Dr. Tong. In 1999, she became the recruitment/admissions coordinator for the PharmD program. In addition to advising and recruiting high school and college students, she also was responsible for coordinating admissions and serving as the co-advisor for the College’s Prepharmacy Club.
A retirement celebration was hosted in her honor in early November and was attended by faculty, staff, friends and students. Colleagues recognized her as kind-hearted, loyal, compassionate and calm. Her favorite aspect of her long career at the UA is working with students, and giving students the call to inform them they had been accepted into the program.
Congratulations on your retirement, Marty!
