HOPE Center Meets with UA Physiology Club

Interested in broadly exploring the health sciences and career paths, the University of Arizona Physiology Club connected with the Center for Health Outcomes and PharmacoEconomic Research (HOPE Center) on October 3, 2018 to learn more about the field of health technology assessment (HTA). The club includes students in physiology or similar majors interested in pursuing clinical or academic careers in medicine, pharmacy, nursing, dentistry, physical therapy, and other allied health fields.  Jason Hurwitz,  PhD, research scientist for the HOPE Center, introduced the 15 students to the principles and applications of health outcomes research, and discussed related career tracks in the pharmaceutical industry, academia, and managed care.
