As director of student services, Collins supports students enrolled in the doctor of pharmacy program and advises the more than 400 PharmD students currently at the college. She coordinates new student orientation, scholarships and awards, special events such as White Coat and Convocation, and assists students with financial aid and other resources to assure their academic success.
Collins began her career as an academic adviser at the University of Arizona in 2003. She served in that capacity at the College of Sciences until 2006 and at the College of Education from 2006 to 2010. Before coming to UA, Collins taught middle school science, reading and social studies in Vail, Ariz., and Winnemucca, Nev.
