Study Reviews Risk of Hospitalizations and Mortality by Alzheimer Disease Medications

Dan Malone, RPh, PhD, FAMCP hosted international researcher and health economist, Lou Garrison, PhD, for a presentation on risk-based agreements and contracting.

Two certificate programs developed in collaborations by the UA College of Pharmacy, Critical Path Institute, and the James E. Rogers College of Law have had recent curriculum updates from College of Pharmacy and the HOPE Center.

Researchers at the UA and Banner Health will create alerts to identify patients at risk for developing heart rhythm disorders and sudden cardiac death.

Findings were published in JAMA Network Open.

The research team conducted a meta-analysis to evaluate the safety and efficacy of direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs) in patients with cancer.
