Fourth-Floor Lobby

In the fourth-floor elevator lobby is a natural products display. These natural plant and mineral products are the source of organic and inorganic materials approved for medicinal use.

This large copper and brass instrument is a Lloyd continuous extraction apparatus. It was used from the 1940s to the 1970s to extract ingredients from plant materials and to distill volatile oils, perfumes, and essences from natural materials. At one time it was also an officially registered still.
