College hosts 45th annual Southwestern Clinical Pharmacy Seminar

Southwestern Clinical Pharmacy Seminar words with flower & bird graphicApproximately 200 attendees turned out to hear more than 20 speakers at the 45th annual Southwestern Clinical Pharmacy Seminar March 2-4.

Topics ranged from “Mental Health Updates: Recent Trends and Treatments” to “Veni, Vidi, Incoactus…I came, I saw, I clotted…An Overview of the New Antithrombotics.”

Martin Higbee presenting (gesturing with hands)The one and one-half day seminar addressed issues affecting pharmacy. The program was designed for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians practicing in any health system setting.

Presenters from the College of Pharmacy included Keith Boesen, Lisa Whittington Goldstone, William Jones, Martin Higbee, Hanna Phan, Janet Cooley, Walt Klimecki, David Apgar, Jennifer Martin, Paul Nolan and Eleanor Olvey.

The seminar was organized by Lynne Mascarella, director of continuing education, and her team.
